WHAT is Pyrolysis (Thermo Chemical Depolymerization)?

Thermo-chemical depolymerization (PYROLTSUS) of waste plastic refers to a process where heat and/or chemical catalysts are used to break down plastic waste(a polymer with a long chain molecule) into its constituent monomers or smaller molecules. Heat is applied to the plastic waste, causing it to break down into smaller molecules. Catalysts (substances that speed up chemical reactions without being consumed) can be added to enhance the depolymerization process. The resulting products are then separated and fractionated, allowing for the recovery of valuable monomers or fuels.

Hyasun Pyrolysis Technology

HYASUN's technology employs a continuous pyrolysis method to convert waste plastics into diesel-grade fuels that are similar to diesel and gasoline. This process uses a multi-stage thermal approach to molecularly decompose and rearrange the longer chain hydrocarbons present in plastics into shorter chain hydrocarbons typical of petroleum fuels.

The HYASUN Technology encompasses a variety of operating systems and methodologies designed for the efficient and effective transformation of end-of-life plastics, which cannot be recycled or biodegraded, into usable liquid fuels. In the first phase of the HYASUN Technology, appropriate end-of-life plastics undergo preprocessing to minimize their size and remove any contaminants or non-plastic materials from the feedstock. The shredded plastics are then fed directly into the main De-polymerisation Reactor through a hot melt in-feed system. Agitation is initiated to standardize the temperature and ensure the feedstock is homogenized.

The process of de-polymerisation begins, transforming the plastic into a gas. Any non-plastic materials settle at the bottom of the chamber. The gases produced in the Reactor move into the contactor, which breaks down the long-chain carbons and enables the desired condensable vapors to enter the distillation column. The system redirects the non-condensable synthetic gas through a scrubber before returning it to the furnaces to reheat the Reactor.

The condensable gases are converted in the distillation column to produce lite oil and raw diesel. The light oil is put into storage. The raw diesel is passed to the vacuum distillation column to be further refined to produce diesel grade, kerosene grade and lite oil. The distillates are then collected in the recovery tanks
